Tower Counselling and Advisory Service is a private practice, run by Melanie Hoskin that operates from two locations in Dublin North.
Tower Counselling and Advisory Service offer two very distinct types of service:
- Counselling service.
- Advisory service.
Counselling Service
Counselling is a developemental process. It is not a singular event and nor does it have a predefined outcome. It is about listening and understanding, looking at possible solutions, answers and/or reasons. It is empowering you, the client, to reach out, explore and/or question, things or events that are somehow preventing you from living in a more satisfying and resourceful way. Therefore, the working relationship between the counsellor and client is of utmost importance. A counsellor can help with any of the following:
- Anger
- Anxiety
- Bereavement
- Depression
- Lack of Confidence/Motivation
- Marraige/Relationship difficulties
- Phobias/ Panic Attacks
- Personal Problems or Stress.
Advisory Service
This service is different from counselling, because it is directive. Dealing with issues such as career change, lifestyle change, difficulties with finances, loss of direction in life. This service offers the client possible solutions or options that are available to them, so that they can consider an objective opinion/solution/option. As with counselling, the client is in complete control of the outcome, but is more informed in a practical way.
