FREE ESB HOME ENERGY SURVEY SCHEME ENDS on Wednesday 31st March 2010!!!!!

If you havent availed of it yet, register by phone, online or contact me and I can do it for you.

The survey advises on the grants that are available for houses built prior to 2006 and how to save money by adding insulation to your ceiling, walls or upgrading your heating boiler and controls. Also can advise on draughts, excessive or too little ventilation, mould in your home and how to eliminate them to make your home cosy and healthy.

Its Free!!!! at least til 31st of March! (they will bring out a paid version later in the year).

All i need is your name, address, MRPN (from your Electricity Bill (Right hand side), year house was built, if there is an extension and number of bedrooms!

You don't need to still be an ESB customer to avail of this service.....!!!

So register today. The grant covers a large part of the cost and it saves you money long term. For example, if you install 200mm insulation in your attic (it is now recommended to have 300mm) then it may cost you €600-800 but there is a grant of €250  and it would save in the region of €400 per year on your heating bill. So your home is warmer and you pay for it within 2 years with savings- makes alot of sense not to heat the attic/outside but to heat your rooms instead!
