Lee Valley Project Finally Gets Green Light

The Lee Valley Project has finally been given the green light after close on 10 years of talks and planning. The "Lee Valley Park" will be located between The Aqua Dome and Blennerville. It does come as a surprise that funding in the region of three million euro has been made available for the project in the current economic climate. This project is expected to start in the very near future and will provide some much needed contruction jobs in the process along with some full time jobs for staff when completed.

It really is something that is badly needed for the Tralee area and will be an added tourist attraction for Tralee. The proposed park will have a water activity area with an artificial lake, childrens play area, cycleway and walkways. There will also be a nature zone with wildlife habitants, bird holes and viewing tower and an eco-friendly visitor services centre will over look the park. This park should attract lots of tourists from Ireland and abroad and will really help in increasing Tralee's profile as a tourist destination. Tralee has alot to offer visitors; Toby World, The Aqua Dome, Bowling Buddies along with top quality shopping, hotels and restaurants. Some of the finest beaches in Ireland are all within a short drive from the town also, so hoping this project gets underway very soon and help in making Tralee a popular tourist destination.
