On Friday February 20th 2009, a fire in an adjacent unit caused extensive smoke damage to our showroom. At 11am Saturday 21st February, I contacted Richard Walsh of Premier Loss Assessors and even though he was beginning his holidays he still took my call and assured me that he would have an agent out to me on Monday morning. On Monday 23rd at 10am Mr John Kirby arrived at our showroom and did an extensive survey of the damage. He took a copy of our insurance policy and requested other relevent documentation which was also furnished to him. Armed with this information a detailed claim was submitted. While still on holidays Richard contacted me to say he had contacted his office and assured me that everything was in hand and would be taken care of. From a very early stage I was given the confidence that our claim would be handled in a professional, prompt and diligent manner.
This reassurance allowed me to focus on saving and rebuilding my business. Richard's office always made themselves available to us, had we any queries and we were constantly kept up to speed with developments as they progressed. The services that he provided were above and beyond the call of duty and far exceeded my expectations, and more importantly relieved me the prospect of handling the case myself. I have no doubt that their persistent pursuit of this claim helped to bring about a speedy, satisfactory settlement. When I first saw the state of my apartment, having been flooded from the apartment above for approximately eight hours I was devastated.
