With group and solo competitions open to all members of An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha from the ages of nine upwards, this contest attracts a great deal of industry attention and has been attended in the past by Michael Flatley. The Championships attract a large international delegation because of the prestige associated with winning an All-Ireland medal, it is also the last opportunity to qualify for the World Irish Dancing Championships.
