The Civic Theatre opened its doors in 1999 and is at the centre of cultural life in Tallaght.
The building is home to two outstanding spaces The Main Auditorium and the Loose End Studio as well as a gallery space on the second floor. The Civic provides an extensive programme of events throughout the year and also hosts a range of activities including:
Keen theatregoers can enjoy productions from Dublin Festivals including the local Red Line Book Festival and the Dublin Theatre Festival which are performed at Civic Theatre.
The theatre has a restaurant on site serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from 10am – 7.30pm every day. There is also a full bar service available both before a show and during the interval.

Civic Theatre is located at the end of the RED Luas line, alongside South Dublin County Council and the County Library.
There is on-site parking and the car park entrance is located on Old Blessington Road on the right-hand side.
The Civic car park is open only for patrons after 4 pm daily and parking is Free.
Seven accessible parking spaces for disabled drivers/passengers available on site.
