This weekend there is a great variety of events taking place that is sure to get you out of the house and having a good time.
If you are training for an upcoming charity run, a marathon or are just a keen runner then how does a free 5km timed run sound? The people at Parkrun have paired up with hundreds of venues across the world to provide free opportunities for people to get fit and healthy.
Miele Gallery Demonstrations
Kidz in the Kitchen of Naas in conjunction with Miele are offering an exciting range of demonstrations providing cooking tips and recipes. This weekend they are holding a two hour hands on demonstration for parents and teens who want to gain more experience in the kitchen.
Clane Farmers Market
For all the fresh and local produce you need to stock your home look no further than the farmers market in Clane where there are a host of stalls available every week for the local community.
This weekend St. Farnan’s Post Primary School are holding a fun run where you can choose between taking on a 5km or 10km route where you will get to take in views of the country along the route. Registration takes place on the school grounds from 9.30am.
Modified Car Show
At Mondello Park this weekend is perfect for modified car enthusiast as the Japanese motoring festival takes place. This is the biggest modified car event of the year in Ireland with a trade and display area set up. Also taking place over the weekend is the finale of the Irish Drift Championship where the Irish racers hope to retain their winning streak.
Fun Day at McCarthy’s
Come along to the family fun day being hosted at McCarthy’s Hardware where there will be pace painting, magic shows and the Irish Fairy Door Company to help celebrate and make it a great family day out.
Casey Black in Concert
The Nashville singer songwriter will be playing live for one night in the Arts and Culture Centre in McAuley place this Saturday night. Tickets are on sale for €15 currently.
This Sunday sees the latest Pilgrimage to Knock take place. There is a bus leaving from the Church car park at 9am.
The second annual Naas 10km returns from the success of last year. This year they are running to raise money for the Jack and Jill Foundation. Late entries, number and t-shirt collections will be available in Naas Town hall on Saturday 26th from 2pm -4pm and on Sunday morning from 9am-10.45am. The race will begin at 11am and take in the town of Naas along the route.
Clane CCE Open Session
The Clane branch of the Comhaltas Ceoiloiri Eireann will be holding an open session of traditional Irish music for anyone interested in coming along to join in and enjoy.
